Defamation, for this reason a young (22 years old) blogger has been convicted by Varese‘s tribunal some days ago. She (Linda Rando) is guilty (1st stage of case) because responsible of all comments done in the forum into own website, if some comments are negative or particularly harmful for someone/something’s worthiness, the website’s administrator is the only responsible.
Linda’s Writer’s dream website was founded around September 2008; today, it is became an online meeting place for keens for books, writing and publishing, visited daily by 3 thousand users. As a consequence of some bad comments about some publishing houses, Linda and Writer’s dream’s staff have received letters of formal notice and cancellation requests although all forum users had accepted the “responsibility clause about all that which they write”.
The sentence is founded on an old press law of 1948; according to it, Linda (as website’s administrator) should have censured all libelous comments.
She has declared: “The forum is a free expression space, we do not censor none; all users are free to say what they want, by taking own responsibilities.”

Folio is a new web magazine of Fedora Online community (fedoraonline.it also named FOL) focused on Fedora and Fedora Project. It is completely written in Italian by FOL’s guys.
The word ‘Folio’ derives from Fol (Fedora OnLine) + io ( me in English), related to the word ‘foglio‘ (page in English).
This magazine is a collection of threads and confrontations among community’s users about some specific subjects.
Folio will be published every 6 months by following more or less the regular Fedora releases while its contents are chosen among those proposed by the FOL’s staff but even by users.

MOC is available on the repositories in Raspbian (2.5.0-alpha4 release). Recently an high CPU usage has been signaled by using ‘mocp’ player on RaspberryPi (http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=24647&p=257780).
This bad behavior is currently undergoing review, in the meantime those who uses MOC can run the following command to bypass this problem and reduce (very) the CPU usage:
$ mocp -O "ALSADevice=hw:0,0"
It should use the ALSA hardware directly without the software layer in between format conversion and resampling.
Update (January,23 2013): according to the MOC forum, this issue is tied with a bug in ALSA, probably the one fixed in alsa-lib commit 3fd4ab9b, and is sensitive to sampling rate and sample width.
Version 1.0.26 on Fedora does not exhibit this bug on the RPi.
(Here the MOC rpm for Fedora 17 ARM).
